Situated behind the U-Haul rentals building, this new U-Haul Storage Facility project boasts 150,000 sq ft of storage space. This building is 3-storeys high and also includes a 3-storey high bay warehouse, 2- 7,500 LB freight elevators, an exterior loading dock ramp, and 1,100 storage unit lockers. The structure is built with a cold-formed steel structure, deck, and concrete floors. The façade is made up of insulated metal panels and various single-skin cladding features, which had to be installed individually, and also includes a hanging canopy. During the build, our team faced a substantial structural redesign that had to accommodate new floor heights. This issue had to be addressed urgently while the building was being fabricated and coordinated. This U-Haul building is a great addition to our ever-growing city of Hamilton.
