Career: Sewer Division – Pipe Layer
As a pipelayer, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting in the installation, maintenance and repairs of sewer and water pipes throughout our job sites. This individual will demonstrate professionalism and a strong work ethic.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working under the supervision of a foreman to ensure the smooth execution of pipe installation, maintenance and repair projects
- Expose existing infrastructure, ensuring the safe and effective progress of the project
- Prepare tools and materials required for pipe installation
- Measure and cut pipes accurately
- Install pipes according to project specifications and pack around pipes to ensure stability
- Follow all safety protocols while on job sites.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Prior experience working as a pipelayer or in a similar role
- Knowledge of pipe installation techniques
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety protocols, identify potential dangers or hazards and take the necessary steps to mitigate risks.
