Heavy Machine Operators are responsible for operating various types of machinery, including but not limited to, excavators, bulldozers, graders, and compactors/rollers which will assist in many construction projects.
As a Heavy Machine Operator, your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Safe Operation of Heavy Machinery
- Operate heavy machinery to excavate, grade, level and compact construction areas
- Following project plans and instructions efficiently
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance
- Work with the construction team to ensure effortless project flow and completion
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report progress or potential concerns
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Heavy Machine Operator, construction-specific
- Valid heavy machinery operator’s license or certification
- Solid understanding of construction
- Ability to read and interpret project plans
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious
- Good communication and works well in a team
